Clinical practice in the Walnut Creek office.
Lima completed her Bachelor of Science degree in psychology/biology from the University of California, Riverside and a second Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Regis University in Denver, Colorado. While working as a registered nurse in the hospital she then went on to obtain a Master’s Degree from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center-Family Nurse Practitioner Certification. Upon completion, she worked for 10 years as a nurse practitioner in quick care and family medicine. She is board certified with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and is one of 3600 asthma educators certified by the National Asthma Educator Certification Board.
Lima was excited to join the Allergy and Asthma Medical Group team in 2016. She has a passion for patient education and enjoys working with individuals and families to empower them to take charge of their health using a team based approach. She focuses on acute asthma and allergy flares, as well as directing a patient centered asthma education program.
While not in the office Lima can be found spending time with her family. She grew up in Monterey and therefore has a love for nature and the ocean. She also enjoys music, reading, coffee, travelling, international foods, exercising and watching movies.
