Clinical practice in Berkeley and Brentwood.
Genessa received her Bachelor of Science in Human Development from the University of California at Davis. She pursued her career in nursing a few years after and earned her Master of Science in Nursing/Family Nurse Practitioner degree from Samuel Merritt University. While in graduate school, she worked as a Registered Nurse at a mental health community clinic. She also precepted with the Northern California Breathmobile as a Nurse Practitioner in pediatric asthma and allergy care, and went on to work with them for 1.5 years. In addition, she worked as a Nurse Practitioner at a private pediatric clinic before joining our team in October 2018.
Genessa is excited to join the team and be involved in its Oral Immunotherapy for Food Allergies program. She has a passion for patient education and enjoys working with patients to understand health processes.
When not in clinic, Genessa enjoys spending time with family (especially her multitude of nieces and nephews), watching Golden State Warriors and San Jose Sharks games, relaxing outdoors particularly at the beach, and exploring different cuisines across the Bay Area.
